Full Moon in Scorpio Alchemical Reading 5/3/15

The purpose of this reading is to decipher the current energies related to the Full Moon, and to guide and inform us on how to best work consciously with energy so that we will benefit. This reading takes us from the Full Moon forward 2 weeks, until the New Moon. The cards are drawn as close as possible to the apex of the Full Moon, and consist of an animal totem from the Medicine Card deck, a card from the Goddess Oracle deck, and a crystal ally from the Crystal Oracle deck. Together, these cards inform our primordial selves with information that has been deeply encoded in our psyche for many lifetimes.

For the next two weeks, beware of setting boundaries and taking care of yourself. Also look for means that help you shift your habits and patterns in to new ways of being more aligned with higher consciousness. Set aside time for yourself, to tend to the needs of your body and soul. Be willing and able to say no, and meditate on these cards, and how their messages can be applied to your life and situations as they arise.

Snake – The power of Snake medicine is the power of creation. It embodies sexuality, psychic energy, alchemy, reproduction, and ascension. Ultimately, Snake teaches how to transmute energy on all levels. Snake’s shedding skin exemplifies transmutation of the life, death, rebirth cycle – it’s the ability to to experience anything willingly and without resistance. The knowledge brought forth is that all things are equal in creation, and that even poison can be eaten, ingested, integrated, and transmuted, with the proper mindset. This is the magic of healing and alchemy, and the reason we see the caduceus (two snakes wrapped around a sword) as the symbol for healing. We see the same imagery in potential kundalini energy, as a coiled snake that lies at the base of the shushumna,. That kundalini energy then becomes two snakes – the Ida and Pingala which coil up and around the shushumna and the chakras, moving vital sexual and life-force energy through our energy body. One is yin, the other is yang.

Transmutation like that which Snake carries, is that of fire energy. Fire energy creates passion, desire, procreation, and physical vitality on the material plane. On the emotional plane, it becomes ambition, creation, resolution, and dreams. On the mental plane, it becomes intellect, power, charisma, and leadership. When the fire energy of Snake teaches the spiritual plane, it becomes wisdom, understanding, wholeness, and connection to the Divine.

There is a reason to go within to transmute some thought, action, or desire, so that wholeness may be achieved. This is heavy magic, so be the magician, or the enchantress – change your consciousness, transmute the energy, use and accept the power of fire. Meditate on the image of a flame or fire, and the symbolism of Snake medicine to garner clarity of what needs transmuting.

Labradorite – You are a sensitive being with the gift of foresight and insight into other realities. It’s important to stay grounded, as the veil between the worlds is thin for you, and you could easily get confused or become prey for psychic vampires and the like. You may face a temporary setback, but a turn of fortune is easily possible. Aim for clear insights, hold on to your common sense, and apply these things to your intuition so you can act on what is valid. Be sure to set boundaries that don’t leave your energy field open – aka “leaky aura” – allowing others to draw off your energy.

Labradorite raises your energy and consciousness enabling connection to the highest mystical dimensions and protective energies. It allows access to the Akashic records, to know more about your past, present, and future. It also strengthens your faith in yourself, aiding your intuitive guidance. It may be helpful to wear or carry this stone with you over the next two weeks.

Durga – Durga wants to help you create boundaries that allow you to choose what you take in to nurture yourself. She asks you to answer the following questions – What are you taking inside your field that should remain outside? How are you not protecting yourself, your life, &/ or your time? Are you feeling pulled off-center by demands to give and give and give until there’s nothing left for yourself? Wholeness is created by fixing the limits of your personal space, emotionally, mentally, and physically, and by selectively allocating your time. Durga urges you to learn and OWN this statement – “No, I can’t do this right now, I need to care for myself.” If your boundaries are unclear, then others will get the message that your boundaries are limitless, and will take advantage in ways that can hurt or leave you vulnerable and unable to do what is truly important to you. Boundaries are vital because they let others know who you are, where you stand, what is important to you, and what you will not tolerate.
